Polish Premier Highlights Global Costs of Mideast, Ukraine Conflicts

(MENAFN) Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk on Saturday underscored the “high price” the world is paying as a result of ongoing wars in Iran and Ukraine.

“We all pay a high price for Israel and the US' war on Iran, as well as Russia's on Ukraine. Not just at the gas station,” Tusk wrote on the US social media platform X.

He emphasized that the Polish government is addressing the crises with “tough but responsible decisions” while promoting “the nation's unity around security issues.”

The statement comes in the wake of a US and Israeli air offensive launched against Iran on February 28, which has claimed over 1,340 lives, including the country’s then-Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei.

Iran has responded with drone and missile attacks targeting Israel, as well as Jordan, Iraq, and Gulf states hosting US military installations. These retaliatory strikes have resulted in casualties, infrastructure damage, and disruptions to global markets and aviation.
